Absolutely
awesome day. The views were stunning, the 110+ climbers (from 1 yr to 84)
were amazing. A beautiful sunny, not-too-hot day (little windy at the
Keyhole...). Record number of climbers - spreading out from Bear Lake,
Emerald Lake, Black Lake, Chasm Lake, the Boulder Field and Keyhole, all
over Longs Peak and Mt. Meeker and even Pagoda in an ambitious Grand Slam
attempt!! An 11:00 prayer and praise moment (via radio and readings) to the
One who created the mountains. Soreness, sunburns, and a few altitude
sicknesses, but injuries were minimal - so sorry, Pastor Kurt!! BBQ feast at
the finish.
May we always pursue the legend He has laid out for us, never fearing to
step out on the path ahead.
