Not long after the avalanche, the Lord put it on our hearts to put together a book, a treasure chest, of some of Lygon’s journal entries. Each day as we worked on it, we marveled at her insights, her honesty, her strength. Not only did the book turn out to be all that we hoped, almost 1000 of the books have made their way around the world, one person at a time. The book is entitled Cairns for the Climb.

The book is a 40-page hardback with 45 glossy pictures from her climbing expeditions (Ecuador, Denali, Colorado) coupled with those journal entries that have absolutely captured our hearts. Even though we had worked on the book for so long, when our first draft copies arrived, we were ourselves mesmerized, and kept saying, “Oh wow. Oh wow.” The response since that first printing has been incredible and continues to swell. It is our great pleasure to share this book with you.
